When you dine at Costa Pacifica, it can be difficult to pick just one dish to devour. Our menu is long and extensive, but we even have a secret menu. You heard that right! We have “chef specials” that you can order, but won’t find on the menu.
Now that you’ve heard our little secret, it might be a little harder for you to narrow down your meal of choice. We apologize! We want our guests to experience the best Mexican Seafood there is to offer! To make it a little easier for you, we have compiled a list of our select favorite Costa Pacifica dishes. Plus, a couple of our favorites are so new that you are among the first to learn about them. Check out our featured dishes:
Costa Pacifica Fish
When waiters bring out plates on fire, do you notice how everyone turns their head and stares? This dish may not be on fire, but there is no doubt that it is a head turner. Have you ever seen a fried fish standing straight up before? Now, you have!
This dish features bite-size lightly fried fish, served with refried beans, rice, and a side salad. The fish is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. This might be the most attention-grabbing dish on the menu, so don’t be surprised when people ask you what you ordered.
4 for 4
Can you keep a secret? The 4 for 4 is one of our chef’s specialties. The Shrimp Party Planner is similar to this dish, but doesn’t give you a taste of everything. The 4 for four consists of four different kinds of shrimp: shrimp kabobs, fried shrimp, coconut shrimp, and bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with cream cheese. You’ll find the kabobs standing on fresh pineapple, over a bed of fried rice, with a side of our world-famous mango sauce. This also comes with a side salad.
Our mango sauce can best be described as sweet and spicy. This sauce is made from mango, bell peppers, and a touch of habanero. Each of the featured shrimp also have different flavors. Our personal favorite is the coconut shrimp. It’s like nothing you’ve ever tasted!
Tiradito: Tostada Matona
This is one of our newest dishes, so it hasn’t even made it on the menu yet. You can still order this, but it is made by request. If you have any doubts before ordering, you may want to take note that this is the chef’s favorite. This is similar to ceviche, except it is placed over a tostada.
If you love lime and avocado, you can’t go wrong with this dish. The Tostada Matona consists of lime-marinated fish, covered with slices of avocado, topped with crab, and placed over a tostada. If there is any dish on the menu that will make you want to kick your feet up as if you’re lounging seaside, this is definitely the one.
You may seen this one blasted all over Facebook, and there’s a reason everyone loves it. This is the tuna tower! If you love tuna and avocado, you are in heaven. This dish is a layered tuna tower with avocado, marinated fresh tuna, garlic-lime mushrooms, topped off with fresh tuna. We serve this over a bed of our home-made “rasurada” sauce and drizzled with sesame oil and sesame seeds. Our “rasurada” sauce is a marinade made from fresh onion, orange juice, and soy sauce.
Grilled Caper Salmon
If you’re not a fan of salmon, you will be after you take a bite of this. This grilled salmon will make you feel like you’re having your dad’s one-of-a-kind backyard barbeque. You’ll get a fresh taste of pepper, and the salmon isn’t too chewy. Pour some of the caper sauce over the salmon for an extra sweet bite you won’t regret.
Tips for Ordering:
If you are a health nut, you may have just found your go-to restaurant that fits your diet. A couple of our neighbors include a nutrition shop and a gym, so we cater to our healthy friends, as well. Here’s a quick tip: order the sauce on the side – except for ceviche. Our ceviche is marinated overnight, but almost everything else on the menu can be ordered to your liking.
If you are bringing your kids, you should have no problem finding them something delicious to enjoy! Kids are experts at being picky eaters, but we are experts at making tasty food. We have a vast kids’ menu consisting of nuggets, hamburgers, quesadillas, and tacos.
